UTILITY PAYMENTS:
Utility payments may be mailed or paid at City Hall, 506 W Berckman Street between 8 a.m. & 4:30 p.m., or left in the drop box located in the parking lot. You may also utilize our Online Payment option at www.fruitlandpark.org. Or you may also utilize our E-Z Pay, a free automatic bank draft service, which drafts your utility payment from your checking account. E-Z Pay forms are available at City Hall, the reverse of your utility bill, or online, www.fruitlandpark.org.
Acceptable forms of payment: cash (in person), check or money order (mail or place in the utility drop box or in person at City Hall), credit/debit card (in person) or online payment at www.fruitlandpark.org
TERMINATION OF SERVICE:
If you desire termination of your utility services, notice must be provided in writing in person at the utility department at City Hall or at www,fruitlandpark.org. Photo ID is required. Deposits are refunded to the applicant of record.
NOTE: If you have a medical necessity for uninterrupted utility services, please notify our office in writing. The City of Fruitland Park obtains the social security numbers to confirm the identification of utility customers. The City of Fruitland Park will not provide your social security number to any individual or agency unless required by law.
WATER: City of Fruitland Park Code 50.30, paragraph ”G” requires a deposit of $100.00 for each new residential or commercial account. An account is based on a property location address being provided service.
SOLID WASTE: Waste Management provides all residents with a 96 gallon trash container and a recycle container. Garbage collection days are Monday & Thursday and Thursday is also recycle collection. Garbage and yardwaste must be at curb no later than 6:00 a.m. Boxes must be flattened, bundled, and placed 3-5 feet from the edge of the street. Tree limbs must be no more than 4 feet long and less than 6 inches diameter. Trash should not be stacked over water or gas meters or under low hanging tree limbs or utility wires. Bulk items such as furniture, tree limbs, etc, excluding electronic equipment, may be put out with regular garbage. Absolutely no hazardous wastes such as paint, tires, oil, lawn or pool chemicals will be collected. All appliances that use coolants must be certified coolant has been removed. Recyclables such as glass, aluminum, steel cans, plastic and paper should be placed in the green recycle bin provided. Batteries must be deposited in a clear plastic bag and can then be placed in the recycle bin as well. Place curbside for Thursday collection.
NOTE: Town & County observes 8 holidays a year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
